Corporate Governance Services
To help companies to comply with Corporate Governance Nkonki designs and implements corporate governance solutions for public and private sector companies, through assessment of the extent of client’s compliance with King III Code on Corporate Governance (‘King II’), the Public Finance Management Act (‘PFMA’), treasury regulations, the Municipal Finance Management Act, and any industry specific governance requirements. Gaps are identified and a plan to close such gaps is developed taking into account each individual client’s specific circumstances.
We provide assurance through an opinion we express on the adequacy and effectiveness of clients' corporate governance practices and provide suggestions for improvement where weaknesses have been identified.
Our corporate governance service includes providing recommendations for board charters, committee terms of reference, delegation of authority, and assessments of the effectiveness of the board, the individual directors and its committees.
Nkonki’s compliance services embrace all the relevant entity specific legislation including FAIS, FICA and the Promotion of Access to Information Act. We provide tailor-made compliance manuals and guidance on implementation.
