Role and Experience

Mziyanda Ntswahlana is currently a director of the external audit division. He served his articles at Deloitte and Touche in East London from 1996 to 1998. He was involved in a number of clients in the private sector including government departments and municipalities.

He worked at the South African Revenue Service from 2000 to 2005. He was responsible for a number of projects nationally. He was also involved in audits of clients with a turnover of R180 million and above.

He worked for the Eastern Cape Gambling and Betting Board in 1999 as an Internal Audit Manager. His main function was to establish the internal audit department. During this period he developed the three year internal audit strategic plan, the one year operational plan designed audit procedures and recruited internal audit staff for the Gambling Board. He presented quarterly reports to the audit committee. He also performed forensic investigations as requested by Board Members.

He also worked for the Auditor General as an auditor from 1987 to 1990. He was involved mainly in the audit of government departments.Before joining Nkonki Inc in 2006 he was operating as a sole practitioner and was mainly involved in consulting.

Mziyanda is a member of the Ngqushwa Municipality Audit Committe.
